SALE OF VRE FARE MEDIA AND LEASE OF RETAIL SPACES AT THE VRE WOODBRIDGE STATION

REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS (RFP) #010-012

The Virginia Railway Express (VRE) is seeking a qualified and experienced individual(s) or business(es) to establish two (2) Lease Agreements, one for the use and management of the North side retail space and a second for the use and management of the South side retail space at the VRE Woodbridge Station, as well as one (1) Contract for the on-site sale of VRE tickets and support material. The Contract for the sale of VRE tickets and support material shall be awarded in conjunction with one (1) of the Lease Agreements.

Proposals will be considered from vendors who are licensed to do business in Virginia and in the judgment of VRE are financially responsible and able to show evidence of prior business experience.

The RFP will be available beginning May 25, 2010 from the VRE website at http://www.vre.org.  At the website, select “Procurement”. 

If potential Offerors are accessing a copy of the RFP via VRE’s website, be advised that it is your responsibility to monitor this site for any amendments.  Failure to submit signed amendments may be grounds to declare your proposal non-responsive.  The RFP can be printed and submitted the same as a regular solicitation.  If there is a question about the closing date, the date printed on the RFP is the most current.

An optional pre-proposal meeting will be held on June 9, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. EST at the VRE Offices, 1500 King Street, Suite 202, Alexandria, VA  22314.  

An optional site visit will be held on June 9, 2010 at 1:30 P.M. EST at the Woodbridge Station, 1040 Express Way, Woodbridge, VA 22191.

Any changes to the solicitation as a result of the pre-proposal meeting or site visit will be issued through a written addendum to the solicitation. 

Proposals are due June 28, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. EST.
