INVITATION FOR BIDS (IFB) #011-003

The Virginia Railway Express (VRE) is soliciting bids to establish a firm-fixed unit price Contract for the delivery of locomotive lube oil and other railroad lubricating products to VRE yards in both Manassas and Fredericksburg, Virginia.

Bids will be considered from qualified and experienced firms who are regularly established in the business of delivering oil products.  Through prior work performed, Bidders must be able to show evidence of reliability, ability, experience, equipment, facilities and personnel to perform the work.

The IFB will be available beginning July 12, 2010 from the VRE website at http://www.vre.org.  At the website, select “Procurement”. 

If potential Bidders are accessing a copy of the IFB via VRE’s website, be advised that it is your responsibility to monitor this site for any amendments.  Failure to submit signed amendments may be grounds to declare your bid non-responsive.  The IFB can be printed and submitted the same as a regular solicitation.  If there is a question about the closing date, the date printed on the IFB is the most current.

Bids are due August 12, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. EST.
