Fredericksburg Line Planned Service Disruption
Only 3 rush hour trains in each direction will
operate on June 1.
- Morning Trains: Train 300, Train 304, and
Train 308 will be the only
trains to operate. These trains will have
extra cars to help with crowded conditions.
- Evening Trains: Train 303, Train 307, and
Train 311 will be the only
trains to operate. These trains will have
extra cars to help with crowded conditions.
The morning
Fredericksburg Line trains will terminate at
Franconia/Springfield. From there you can use
Metrorail to continue your commute. Just show your
VRE ticket to the Metro attendant when entering and
exiting the Metrorail system.
The evening Fredericksburg
Line trains will originate at Franconia/Springfield
and will depart at the regularly scheduled departure
time for that station. Simply take Metro from the
station closest to your work and ride to the
Franconia/Springfield Metro Station. Again, just show
your VRE ticket to the Metro attendant when entering
and exiting the Metrorail.
VRE staff members will be on-site to offer their
assistance.
