Manassas Santa Train Information

VRE is pleased to announce the Annual Operation Lifesaver Santa Trains. We want everyone in the Metropolitan area to be conscientious of rail safety and to promote the "Look, Listen and Live" campaign.

Ride the Train with Santa, but Don't Forget to Bring a TOY

This year, VRE is continuing another holiday favorite. As part of the festivities, during the morning of Santa Trains our Fredericksburg, Manassas, Burke Centre, and Woodbridge stations will become drop off sites for the Marine Corps Toys for Tots Campaign. We are encouraging everyone to bring a toy to the Santa Trains that will be shared with someone less fortunate in the Virginia area. Yes, we will still be holding our annual on board toy drive Wednesday, December 5th.

Ticket Information:

• Tickets for the Manassas Santa Trains will go on sale Monday, November 26th, at the Manassas Visitors Center as well as a online at 9am. For on-line ticket sales for Manassas, visit the Purchase Tickets/Ticket Status page. Tickets cannot be reserved or sold in advance.


• Santa Train Tickets are not refundable or exchangeable


• Tickets are $5.00 at the outlets and, $6 on-line, with net proceeds benefiting Operation Lifesaver. Payment at the ticket outlets may be made with cash or check, payable to VRE. Online purchases can be made with credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express or Discover) or with a pre-existing PayPal account. PAYMENTS MADE BY CHECK WILL NOT BE MAILED UNTIL THE CHECK HAS CLEARED.


• Online tickets will go on sale at 9am on Monday, November 26th Santa Train Ticket Sales and Availability page


• All passengers, regardless of age, must have tickets. Regular VRE tickets will NOT be honored for this special event. Tickets will not be sold at the station the day of the event and must be purchased in advance.


• Tickets for each station will only be sold at one location (except online sales which will have tickets for all trains).


• Ticket sales are limited to 6 per person for most trains. Tickets for groups of more than 6 may be purchased only for designated trains.


• For online purchases, any person attempting to purchase more than 6 tickets for specific trains will have their ENTIRE ORDER REFUNDED, thus not receiving any tickets. NO EXCEPTIONS.


• All online Santa Train purchases will be mailed to the address provided in PayPal.
