CSX Signal Suspension
Friday, November 13th, after the end of service, CSX will begin working on the track signals south of Alexandria. The work is not expected to be done until after evening service on Monday, November 16th. Because all signals between Rippon and Alexandria will be inoperative, trains will have to stop and wait until given permission to proceed at each signal. This suspension will only affect the Fredericksburg line trains on November 16th.
Due to the fact that we expect delays of up to an hour, we originally wanted to cancel service. However, we've decided to run a very limited schedule, but please be aware, we're anticipating extreme delays and anyone who rides these trains does so at their own risk, time-wise.
Also, the FRC policy will not apply to trains on this day.
Trains operating that day:
| Morning Trains |
300 |
304 |
310 |
| Evening Trains |
303 |
307 |
313 |
Again, because of the expected delays, we recommend riders find an alternative way to work for Monday, November 16th.
