EXTERIOR CLEANING OF PASSENGER ROLLING STOCK EQUIPMENT
REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS (RFP) #09-002
The Virginia Railway Express (VRE) is soliciting proposals to establish a firm fixed unit price Contract to provide periodic exterior cleaning of all railcars and locomotives in VRE’s active Fleet.
Proposals will be considered from qualified and experienced firms who are regularly established in the business of providing exterior cleaning services and in the judgment of VRE are financially responsible. Through prior work performed, Offerors must be able to show evidence of reliability, ability, experience, equipment, and personnel to perform the work.
The RFP will be available beginning August 28, 2008 from the VRE website at http://www.vre.org. At the website, select “Procurement”.
If potential Offerors are accessing a copy of the RFP via VRE’s website, be advised that it is your responsibility to monitor this site for any amendments. Failure to submit signed amendments may be grounds to declare your proposal non-responsive. The RFP can be printed and submitted the same as a regular solicitation. If there is a question about the closing date, the date printed on the RFP is the most current.
An optional car inspection will be held on September 11, 2008 at 2:30 P.M. ESTat the Broad Run Yard, 10637 Piper Lane, Manassas, VA 20110.
Proposals are due September 30, 2008 at 10:00 A.M. EST.
