INTERIOR CLEANING OF PASSENGER RAIL CARS
REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS (RFP) #08-015
The purpose of this Request For Proposals (RFP) is to establish a firm fixed unit price Contract to provide interior detailed cleaning of VRE’s active fleet as well as periodic polishing of specified exterior doors and periodic cleaning of exterior windows.
Proposals will be considered from qualified and experienced firms who are regularly established in the business of detailed cleaning and in the judgment of VRE are financially responsible. Through prior work performed, Offerors must be able to show evidence of reliability, ability, experience, equipment, and personnel to perform the work.
The RFP will be available beginning May 30, 2008 from the VRE website at http://www.vre.org. At the website, select “Procurement”.
If potential Offerors are accessing a copy of the RFP via VRE’s website, be advised that it is your responsibility to monitor this site for any amendments. Failure to submit signed amendments may be grounds to declare your proposal non-responsive. The RFP can be printed and submitted the same as a regular solicitation. If there is a question about the closing date, the date printed on the RFP is the most current.
An optional car inspection will be held on June 12, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. EST at the Crossroads Yard, 9400 Crossroads Parkway, Fredericksburg, VA 22408.
Proposals are due July 8, 2008 at 10:00 A.M. EST.
